About us:

Welcome to the Philly Fliers, the place in Philadelphia for Control Line model airplane flying. We are an aeromodelling club with a primary focus on "Control Line" flying but also engaged in other aspects of aeromodeling such as free flight, legacy models and engines and RC.  Our club was founded in 1980 by a group of extraordinary and talented individuals in the spirit of continuing and further developing the age old modalities of aeromodeling.

Our primary flight field is located within the Neshaminy State Park but we also gather at two other locations which are the Sparks Custom Retail LLC facility at 2828 Charter Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154 and the Northeast Philadelphia RC Club at the Benjamin Rush State Park. Specific directions can be found at the Location section on this website. In general, Philly Fliers gather on site Saturdays and Sundays during the afternoon.

Within our club we currently engage in Control Line Stunt (PAMPA), Combat (1/2, Slow Combat, F2B), Old Time Stunt, or just spend a great time enjoying sport flying. We also keep a few trainers for those interested in learning or for those interested in getting back into the hobby. We have many friends that flew control line back in their younger days and have rekindled the enjoyment of the past. We especially enjoy getting youngsters interested in the hobby as many of them have not had this experience.

All members are required to have an active membership of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) to fly at our facilities.

Please come by and pay us a visit. See you soon!
